Your probably right but then again... We all thought that when Barca started moaning they couldn't afford Messi that La Liga would bend over and get the lube out... but they didn't. Sounds like Barca are being hung out to dry

Genuinely don’t think so now mate! With the world the way it is now financially and with inflation etc then institutions want their money back on time etc. plus with the new la liga regulations that Barca are already in breach of and their constant taking players on frees even though they can’t add to their wage bill and can’t even register them players is a shitshow beyond what we’ve seen ever imo! Sounds like pique is gonna enforce them to honor is contractual agreement and wants his deferred wages, them asking all players to take pay cuts while they sign new players goes beyond taking the piss!!!

If a business has debts and cannot service those debts then that's administration... One of their board members has already come out this week basically saying they need to find 500m to "save" the club...

having worked with firms in similar firms the most likely outcome is that the lender who is owed €500m will extend a new loan on the basis the club generates all revenue they can and pay that money of the debt. You go for that option as you have more chance of getting your money back than via administration.

So assuming that is where they are then any player where a sensible offer comes in will get sold.

The only option that I can see if Barca want out of this mess quickly is to sell the club for peanuts (like 1 euro or something) to a consortium who then pay off their debts - esentially paying over 1bn for the club?
Then they will be back on track financially - anything else is going to take years to sort out

If they are forced to sell assets for any "resonable" offer then it's basically a firesale... Get your shopping lists out lads!
