The kid is clearly worth more than 7K per week. Maybe not 50k, but he deserves a big raise. He is an excellent player.

I think they know his huge potential and want compensated for it in the market place? Same as Foden I guess? He’s a city fan etc but still wants his value in the marketplace wages? Would love Gavi here to be honest.

It was rumored it was a €40m release clause which like you say every now and then an opportunity presents itself that maybe too good to turn down?

It seems a bit wrong given he is 17. Best place for his development is Barca. But they are skint. Would be a big shame if he moved on for money and ended up on a bench.

Difficult call this. I'd rather we got him for 40 than a rival. But do think he should stay where he is, which is unlikely given how much money there is knocking about.
