Its now the Brexit party, its Farage's finest creation. It is possibly the most far right Government in UK history. It no longer represents aspiration, its no longer the party of low tax, its no longer the party of fiscal prudence, its claim to conserve national institutions is laid bare with its attacks on the BBC, Monarchy and the Judiciary. I used to get one nation Conservatism, it was not my politics but I could understand the way they saw this country and the motives they had in trying to change if for what they believed was for the better. They were always the safe choice in hard times because Labour's radicalism unnerved the status quo.

Now they have evolved into a reactionary Nationalist party, they have no vision, they react to events and at the moment that reaction is all about keeping the cult of Johnson in place. Everything they do now is about Johnson and keeping him in power, that is how much that man has polluted our political system. His supporters are maniacal in their fervour, they ignore his lies and indiscretions and to be honest I do not understand why. He is a stain on our nation and he is making our great country a laughing stock. I hate that, I love my country.

There are still some decent Tories in the country and they voted against him, in what was in any other confidence vote would have been perceived as a disaster for the incumbent. Yet we had the likes of Rees Mogg saying it was a triumph.

My big worry is where we go now, we have a home secretary intent on delivering the most ridiculous of plans to stop people buying boats in France, we have a transport secretary who accuses Labour of taking money from the RMT, when they are not an affiliated Union and also refusing to arbitrate the issues, we have a DWP secretary devoid of compassion and intelligence,

We see Lefty, woke and anti British used as pejoratives to describe anything these Johnson cultists see as threat to their hegemony. I am left wing, I love my country, because what I believe is patriotic. Patriotism is about wanting your country to be the best it can be, the Tory party is now a Nationalist English party, it believes our country is still the greatest country in the world and rules an empire. That is how idiotic they are. Realism and common sense has left the Tory party, because it is no longer the Tory party.

Its the cult of Johnson party.

I think that you are incorrect. There are people behind him who are using him. The ERG are still there and they are the ones who are the power behind the throne. That is why he never does anything, just rocks up in his daily play suit for photos.

Mr Schapps has sent a trumpian style email out accusing Starmer of not reigning in the RMT and demanding donations.

The RMT are not affiliated to the Labour party.

This Geidt story is bollocks isn't it? He knows he should have gone sooner over the other stuff - he realised how foolish he looks after his grilling in front of the Select Committee and so looked for the soonest excuse to go even if it was the more trivial of the reasons he should have used.

This bunch are a different kettle of fish to even the likes of the Thatcher government. A certain irony that multiple attempts at entryism within the Labour party over the years have failed but this bunch of headbangers seem to have managed it no problem.
 
Gove has said levelling up is on hold.

Apparently due to Johnson wanting to break WTO Rules and illegally impose tariffs on Steel (taking back control or sovrinty or sumfink)
