It will be a big job and might not happen straight away. Like when Sergio left we waited for the right player and that didn’t work out too badly.

True and something the club may very well sit on. Work out whether they’d rather someone like FDJ, who might not be available now anyway, or wait for say Bellingham? Signing someone like Phillips who they are obviously confident in as he will play a decent amount along with Gundo and perhaps even see Grealish/Foden drop deeper or see some kids get bench spots and cup games. All depends where our priorities are. Personally I’d rather keep Bernardo more than sign any other midfielder in the world.
