Yeah agree. I think with more experience in the position though he can learn to control the tempo more. This is the only weakness I can see (a very important one).

High energy, great ball control, can drop deep to pick up the ball and progress it forward, high football IQ, plus offers a threat with his finishing. Also knows the system inside out.

He's had a few games in this position and he looked great and I'd like him on the ball as much as possible throughout a game.

Would obviously be a work in progress but I would much prefer Phil then bring in someone from outside of the club.

We could then go all out for a goal scoring forward like Nkunku or Leao.

What do you guys think?

I'd love it. He's 22 now so if he is going to play there long term it's time to start getting more minutes opposed to out wide.

I don't think it's a weakness. It's just a style thing. Kevin is the same way. It just so happens that we are more balanced with one 8 controling pace and the other one pushing it.

Bernado and Gundo control Pace, Kev and Phil push it. We just have to mix and match appropriately.

He's always struck me as a mix of Yaya and Dihno. So all along I thought he was going to be the Dihno replacement before all the talk about Philips started.

I guess it could be both now.

Gundogan will need to step up again if Bernardo leaves. I’d like to see him playing alongside Kev next season.

As things stand its doubtful. Even with Barca selling off future profits they still need to sell FDJ. The only taker is United and it seems he won’t leave to go to a shambolic non CL club.

Pep would demand a huge fee for Bernardo. He is a crucial player. Barcelona don’t really have the funds either.
 
Don't understand how Barca can take Bernardo when they need to let go of FDJ for financial reasons. Bernardo isn't going there to play for free.

This news has come from unsubstantiated and unofficial Twitter and Instagram accounts, rehashing news from two years ago when he did actually want to leave. I don’t think there’s anything in it at all.
