35 million seems cheap, and obviously hoping we get more than that, but to be honest I'll be pretty glad to see him go. On the whole he's not been as bad this season as the 2 before it, but still not good enough and it seems it would be best for all for him to move on

The season he ended with 20 league goals, 31 in all comps (and 10 assists)?

He had a poor 6 months for us in 2021, either side of a brilliant Euros, which has somehow turned into a narrative that he's been poor for 3 years. It's bollocks. The facts just don't support it.

He was one of our better players in the first half of 2020/21, when the whole team was struggling. He had great performances against Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs in early 2021 when we wrapped up the title and only lost his place to Mahrez in March. He struggled really badly for the rest of that season (although had Sergio not tried to panenka Mendy with a penalty Raz won, we likely would have clinched the title by beating Chelsea, in a game where Raz also scored and was denied another clear penalty).

Last season he started pretty poorly, although playing out of position as a centre forward. When he got a run in the side in November/December he stepped up - crucial goals against PSG and Wolves, winning the player of the month award in December when we got back on top of the table (and stayed there).

Second half of the season he's played less but still contributed with big performances when given the chance against Burnley, Leeds, Newcastle etc.

You also have to factor we pay him wages of £13m a year.

Sterling is so so good one of our best ever and no one won’t put 50m down now for him! There is no one out there with his stats for a fee that low

Also have to consider the fact that Raz likely doesn't want to risk having a potentially bad injury on a 'contract year'. His options would obviously diminish greatly if that were to happen.

This summer seems a good time for a mini squad overhaul, Scousers doing the same, Chelsea also, Spurs look like they are finally putting a squad together & the Arse are trying to build too, which just leaves the Rags floundering around having doors slammed in their face with no CL

If I thought we would replace him, I'd let him go. But it seems like the plan is to just go with the forwards we have, which would be a huge mistake IMO.
