I think we're too far down the rumour mill to say we're not in for, and close to finalising, the Cucurella deal. I'd be amazed if we weren't in for him after all this.

Correct, we NEED a Fern replacement. We don’t really need a LB, but would be a nice addition. This doesn’t mean we aren’t getting Cucurella.
