sometimes mate but having Haaland in already makes me alot calmer than normal? I think Phillips and Cucurella without question though improve the squad and will allow a new formation or two next seaosn but Erling is the game changer for me and the season cant come quick enough!

Yeah it was TH weeks ago and was connected to if both Jesus and Sterling go there was a distant chance of a name that was very big. It was never clear if this name was ever known to him. TH did say at that time he was very “excited“ if I remember so my guess is he knew it but never gave it out.

I think because it was TH posters remember it.

Thought the whole Ronaldo thing was pretty funny myself - he totally played United there, knowing as soon as they thought there might actually be a chance he’d come to City they’d shit the bed and throw stupid money at him.

He got the player the move he wanted, and we clearly didn’t give a fuck about it because on the very same trip he made to Manchester to sign Ronaldo to the Rags, he signed extensions for Dias and Ederson at City.

And it would be naive to think he’s the one pushing Bernardo to Barca.

We all love Bernardo at City - but we also all know very clearly that he wants to leave to be closer to home.

That’s not Mendes’ agenda - it’s Bernardo’s.

Anyway - fuck it. He’s an agent, and I’m not trying to defend the profession in any way. I just think in his case he’s done more good for the Club than bad over the last few years.

I think that has incrementally been added to, and is now for some reasonblinked to Jesus or Sterling and that position. It wasn't at the time though, and even TH himself said he didn't know who it was supposed to be about, just something he heard. Most likely pogba, given the timing. Either way, about time we just moved on now.

Actually no we cannot.

It's a part of this forums DNA season after season that we totally lose our fucking minds about a world class player. We have a mega thread of ups, downs, plane tracking, blue cones and nobody is ever going to take that glorious, utterly despairing at times rollercoaster away from me.

We’re just having fun while no real transfer rumour is leaking.
