I only want Sunshine on Leith. Apart from that they are yours. If you chuck in The Proclaimers it’s a deal
What about us English folk in England? Can we have a vote?
They’ll probably want their share of gas/oil going forward. That would be a reasonable request. This is how divorces work. I’m keeping the dog though
Things escalated quickly...Jocks keep the oil, water and shite weather. You get Rangers (Celtc too, please) Gove and the Nukes.
What for? What about us English folk in England? Can we have a vote?
Just as long as Merseyside isn't included! Can we in the NW just have a vote on becoming an Independent NW? Separate from them all? ;-)
Well could have a national vote on should Scotland be independent of the UK or just the Scots vote, either way if the majority vote to leave that's how democracy works and they go their own way. Then the minority who wanted to stay can start a thread and drone on and on and on.What for?
English independence?
Didn’t realise that was a widespread aspiration.
Scottish independence. They're only gonna get a majority if we vote! What for?

Assets often cover things such as military hardware, foreign embassies, gold and foreign currency reserves, intellectual property, staff, software and computer systems, works of art, shareholdings, contracts, and, as you suggest, the seabed.
Scotland might want to walk the dog at weekends...
Key for me is both governments negotiate in the right manner. We should not follow the Brexit example.
Ooops oh yes I forgot about that… I guess it will have be just Greater Manchester and Cheshire. Might just include Derbyshire and Yorkshire let Merseyside go to North Wales. There’s a heck of a lot of them there already! Can’t have them Merseysiders with us! :-)Just as long as Merseyside isn't included!
A task for the civil servants and lawyers. Kerching. They can keep the castles and have the dog on St Andrews day.
Seriously though it might be an absolute nightmare to pick through it all. Too much so they just don’t bother and say let’s start afresh but even that’s not simple

What’s it to do with us?Scottish independence. They're only gonna get a majority if we vote!
Are we not part of the same nation, they've had one go already the fish ladies going to go on and on trying to get a result the suits her. Good chance if we all have a vote she'll get it.What’s it to do with us?
Genuinely puzzled.
We don’t live in Scotland. Well I don’t anyway. If there was a referendum for England or Greater Manchester to secede I’d expect a vote otherwise it’s not my business. Using your weird logic the whole of Europe should have had a Brexit vote. Are we not part of the same nation, they've had one go already the fish ladies going to go on and on trying to get a result the suits her. Why are the countries in the EU part of the United Kingdom, I hate to disappoint you but the EUs a collection of nations. The United Kingdoms a nation comprised of 4 countries. I think your logics a bit off.We don’t live in Scotland. Well I don’t anyway. If there was a referendum for England or Greater Manchester to secede I’d expect a vote otherwise it’s not my business. Gaelic was the predominant language in Scotland for a relatively short time. No going back I’m afraid. Can you genuinely see that happening though? You are, of course, right.
We’re also keeping the languages you’re going to have to go back to that grunting celtic thing ;)
Predominant? Only north of Perth. Rest of country spoke Ulster Scots/Lallans. In fact Welsh was even spoken up here. Unfortunately gaelic was pretty much eradicated due to the genocide of the highlands. There’s more polish speakers in Scotland than Gaelic speakers Id guess. And weegies can barely speak basic English.Gaelic was the predominant language in Scotland for a relatively short time. No going back I’m afraid.
