Why are the countries in the EU part of the United Kingdom, I hate to disappoint you but the EUs a collection of nations. The United Kingdoms a nation comprised of 4 countries. I think your logics a bit off.
Going by your logic the whole of England could vote for Scottish independence and the whole of Scotland could vote to stay in the union but they’d have to go. Not my logic that’s suspect.
Are there any other parts of the U.K. that you want a vote to get rid of? (other than Liverpool)

I don't want to get rid of any part, Liverpool excepted. If the majority want to leave ( no doubt wee Jimmy will give 10 year olds the vote after mandatory viewing of ten showings of braveheart), then good luck to them as long as there's a real border between the two Countries to stop the ones with oil in their can heading South.

You mean country comprised of four nations.
A union comprised of 4 countries. And all political unions end, all. It’s not a question of if but when. Even the USofA will end. Given its current climate it’s already begun. GB & NI is in its terminal stage.

Key for me is both governments negotiate in the right manner. We should not follow the Brexit example.
Negotiating with this govn is a complete no no. No one would do that given our track record surely!

I'd say Scotland is going to be independent soon, they're not going to same brexshit way we've gone, they'll vote against that deffo.

Predominant? Only north of Perth. Rest of country spoke Ulster Scots/Lallans. In fact Welsh was even spoken up here. Unfortunately gaelic was pretty much eradicated due to the genocide of the highlands. There’s more polish speakers in Scotland than Gaelic speakers Id guess. And weegies can barely speak basic English.
Predominant in most of Scotland for a short time. It did spread into South Scotland in th 11th century. From wiki

In 1018, after the conquest of the Lothians by the Kingdom of Scotland, Gaelic reached its social, cultural, political, and geographic zenith.[24]: 16–18  Colloquial speech in Scotland had been developing independently of that in Ireland since the eighth century.[25] For the first time, the entire region of modern-day Scotland was called Scotia in Latin, and Gaelic was the lingua Scotica.[26]: 276 [27]: 554  In southern Scotland, Gaelic was strong in Galloway, adjoining areas to the north and west, West Lothian, and parts of western Midlothian. It was spoken to a lesser degree in north Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, the Clyde Valley and eastern Dumfriesshire. In south-eastern Scotland, there is no evidence that Gaelic was ever widely spoken.[28]

Absolutely a matter for the Scottish people to decide and would hope the UK Government permanently pass that option over to Holyrood. That being said, I completely want Scotland to stay as part of the UK family and if we need to be clearer or pass additional powers to Holyrood to manage locally then we should.

Why can't Sturgeon respect the wishes of 2,001,926 of her countrymen?

Possibly because like that weasel we have as PM she thinks only of herself. I want, I want, I want. Another of the me, me, me people!!
She just wants what she wants and doesn’t give a rats fig for anyone else!

Sorry I should really keep away from politics threads. Mea culpa mea culpa.

But it wouldn’t matter what the result was even if they did that unless it is the answer the Krankie doll wants!!
