The Scottish Politics thread

I did actually. No matter. I won’t make the mistake again. You should avoid this thread though as you clearly have little worthwhile to contribute other than cliched nonsense. Have a nice weekend.
Yeah right. Arsed. And i'll be on here as frequently as I wish. Because as we all know, these threads really matter in the grand scheme of things. :)

I live in the North of Scotland and I think the biggest problem the SNP have is they don't have many talented people in Holyrood after Elsie Mac selfie leaves. They have someone that studied history running the finances and the fact that they have a dentist in charge of vivid sums them up.

Stupid idea to give Scotland and Wales their own Parliaments, without giving England the same option. Stupid idea from Tony Blair, who also cost a lot of British lives and limbs and mental health, in those imaginary weapons of mass distruction, and who has just been knighted. I am no fan of Boris, but a few parties in Downing Street seem like small fry in comparison. That said, those parties were an abomination and so insensitive.

No, you get that. Enjoy your soveriengty.
Haha you think Scotland who have a net take, rather than give, from the UK’s coffers, leaving England will make England worse off?
Scotland’s economy would shrink by at least £11bn a year if it became independent, more than doubling the damaging impacts of Brexit, a team of economists has forecast.
The report from the London School of Economics and City University of Hong Kong found that quitting the UK’s common market would hit the Scottish economy two to three times as hard as leaving the EU, just counting the impact on trade alone.
Suggesting that the worst economic effects would take several decades to take hold, the LSE’s Centre for Economic Performance said the impacts on its trade with both the UK and the EU would shrink Scotland’s economy in the long run by between 6.3% and 8.7%.
Give us the vote, we’ll get rid of you in no time. Save us a headache from you moaning fuckers

I presume you are referring to Professor Jason Leitch, but then his is not a political position.

He would appear to be suitably qualified: ‘an Honorary Professor at the University of Dundee. From 2005 to 2006 he was a Quality Improvement Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, in Boston, sponsored by the Health Foundation. He qualified as a dentist in 1991 and was as a Consultant Oral Surgeon in Glasgow. He has a doctorate from the University of Glasgow, a Masters in Public Health from Harvard and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.’
