Would like to see us go balls deep for marcos Leonardo from Santos. He could easily be the next starlet from Brazil. Kids rapid, doesn't seem to have a weak foot and great technique. Also he's a killer in the box, has that instinct top strikers develop with age. If we bid now he'd be peanuts rather than further down the line.

He won't be sold for peanuts. He's protected by a €100M release clause.

If we were to sell Aké, which I’d rather we didn’t, one player I hope we have on a list of replacements is Calvin Bassey at Rangers.

Outside of suiting our style, he’s also left-footed and I presume entitled to homegrown status given he was in Leicester’s academy for five years.

Probably cost not even half of the Aké fee.

Newcastle United have been told they will have to pay between €50m and €60m if they want to sign Benoit Badiashile from Monaco. The Magpies are one of several European clubs to be linked with a move for the young centre-back this summer but he won’t come cheap.

Only worry is Monaco don’t need the money after selling Tchouameni, but some of the chances he creates from deep are amazing, reminds me of Laporte. He’d really benefit from a year learning from our CBs.

Monaco are also in the Champions League so really don't need to sell for this season. If our EDS CB are just as talented as Benoit Badiashile we should give them a chance to break into the first as well (albeit as 4th choice)
