Such an all rounded n grounded knowledgeable woman off the mic to boot.

I gotta say Shante was awesome back in the day. One of the favourite battles was the 'The Real Roxanne' saga. Used to wait and see which 'Roxanne' was popping up out of the scene to diss and I seem to remember her running through everyone!

It was great in the beginning and then everyone started getting in on the money and clout.

I think some of the best of it was the town beefs rather than individuals. When KRS ONE/ BDP stepped in, I think the game was done.

Although Nas' fight with everyone (well Cormega and Jay Z) was entertaining!

Thank feck for Public Enemy at the that point for me, though!
