Can't begrudge him going to get the game time. Just a shame it's to another English team. Seeing him playing regularly in another clubs colours is gonna be sad. Will be a really good signing for Arsenal I think. Never gives less than 100% and has a great attitude.

Never gave us a problem on or off the pitch so I wish him well ('cept when he plays against us of course).

Took him and his family a lot of time and effort to get used to England, learn the language, etc. so don’t really blame him for not wanting to have to go through all of that again

Sad to see a young player who has contributed plenty to our era of greatest success leave but he could have been facing moving down the pecking order at City a couple of notches if he had stayed.

He's a good guy and you have to wish him well personally, with the usual caveat of not at City's expense.

Genuinely gutted. Our go to man for big games as he was so good at defending from the front.
Thought he had a good season from the right too, I assume he wanted more game-time as I can't believe that Pep wouldn't want him around.

Really sad to see him go. Was picked for most of our big games where effort was needed more than skill. Liverpool, Real Madrid etc. Hope we get that from our new boys.

very sad to see him go, good player and great attitude, always worked hard and seen him many a time doing a shift and defending.

who can forget the centurions goal. Another one when at anfield 0-0 and game was dying out, on comes gabby and turns everybody inside out, then gets us a pen... and we know what happened next.

when he scored a goal, he had the most genuine happy look on his face
