The worst part about this is I just know that some people are never going to let it go. There will be a game week where Sterling scores a couple and we get a draw or something and the usual lot will be on here saying we shouldn’t have sold him, the whole team is shit, what a mistake it is blah blah blah.

There seems to be a misconception that if you have a certain amount of goals and assists then you are a bettter player than someone with less. Maybe shots on target, successful dribbles past one or more opponents, chance creating passes played forwards, and misses that hit a post or crossbar could be included. While we are at it a running total of misses inside the area, missed 1 on 1's or not hitting the target could paint a truer picture of a players form.

All these stats and many more are readily available. Funny thing is Sterling comes out really well when compared to the top PL players (Kane, Salah, Son, Mane etc) who have consistently produced the biggest numbers over a block of say, 3 or 5 seasons and covering a wide set of metrics

I've posted stuff before which goes deeper than Goals and Assists but in my experience very few are interested on here.

In one Dave! Of course we are run as a business. Was listening to the Sheila Fogarty programme on LBC recently when someone invited on as a 'football expert' described City as "owned by Qatar". Obviously, wrong on both counts. Neither she nor any other contributor corrected the halfwit because, obviously, it doesn't fit the bent media agenda. Apologies for going off topic.

ultimately regarding sterling the only reason he is gone is because he is not good enough for the team and pep. pep does not rate pace that much and the only other way for sterling to hold a place it to score a bucket load of goals which he has failed to in the last few years. pep needs technical brilliance and sterling is one of the worst technical player and hence he is gone.

Nope but I can evaluate stats. People slag Sterling off for missing sitters but conveniently ignore others who create very little or score very few goals. It's double standards. Simple.

Highly doubt a potential premier league player would be in one of those. They're tiny. Only about 4 seats including the pilot. Wouldnt get insurance. Why not fly on a scheduled jet?

So how will you judge others next season. ? If they post worse numbers. My guess is you will ignore them. Like the rest on here who just don't like Sterling for no reason at all. That's why when I ask a direct question , you're struggling to answer it?
