It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Don't be.

Cucurella is waiting on us, we have told him to sit tight for a few more days and then we will be there for him.

Ain't gonna be cheap, though.

Guessing £50m plus add ons.
If we’ve told Cucurella to wait a couple more says then surely we want him on the plane to the US. When is the tour starting?

Ortega
Cucurella
Gvardiol/Kounde/Torres
Phillips
Alvarez
Haaland

That would be a heck of a window for us to be honest!

That would be our window done. Zinchenko should stay

I would like Ake to stay as well given that the replacements you mentioned there -
Gvardiol/Kounde/Torres all will be more expensive than Ake's selling price

torres has a 50m euro release clause and i think city want at least £50m for ake so we would be in profit on that one? I would love Gvardiol but not sure he would fancy a rotation role to be honest.

Ahh , I thought it was higher - so basically a like for like swap , roughly around the same fees

Zinchenko is an able deputy, not for the long haul. Don't let the villa assist cloud that.

Yes the villa assist is the only game he has had for us.

Ffs, a key player for 5 years now and, had a huge part and was a big reason for lengthy winning stretches that contributed to each of our titles. Not for the long haul, fucking lol.

i imagine its ake wanting out rather than us pushing him out? I`m sure pep would have been delighted to keep ake this summer but with the player seemingly wanting the move then not much the club can do.
Open to the move not desperate. He will be fine if he stays just as Cucurella will be if he stays at Brighton.

Yep, I think you are right mate. Ake wants more game time, but even at Chelsea he is not a guaranteed 1st choice with the addition of Koulibaly and Tuchel is also looking to bring in another cb.

It’s a bit much, but you’re right, the final piece of the jigsaw. They know it, we know it.
It's the way the market has gone unfortunately but yet Txiki I'd still able to pull of deals like Haaland and Phillips for less than £100m. The job himself and the club are doing in the market is remarkable.

Brighton will be looking at other clubs like Burnley getting £20.5m for Nathan Collins, Liverpool getting £17m for Neco Williams, Chelsea possibly getting Ake for £45-£50m and he is our 4th choice centre back. I think they are well in their rights to ask for £50m, He was Brightons best player last year by quite some distance plus he's still only 23.

As you said, Missing piece of the jigsaw this deal feels like.
