Yea , its just pace really Zin is good against teams with slow wingers and a parked bus. But when you put someone with Pace up against him who runs in behind he struggles. I'd rather a left back that has a bit of pace to get back and defend against some of the quicker wingers especially with the way we play.

So useless that we abandoned the idea to make him a right-back and just made him a world class left back.

Works for Portugal, not for us.

Cancelo doesn’t have Walker’s pace. That is what you notice when Cancelo is at right back.

We therefore can’t play the same as we have no recovery pace in the back line.

Cancelo is far better going forward from right back, but we lose our get out of jail card when Walker doesn’t play.

Just because what we've got may not fit their definition of a traditional left back it doesn't mean we're lacking there. we've got 2 players who predominately play left back in this squad and do so to a standard that very few others can match.

Not just find them but improve them to the extent pep has with Gabby and Zin. We should be charging them a pep premium.

Natural LB my ass! A lot of our success these past years have been with Delph and then Zinchenko at LB. Remember Mendy? I never got the fawning and excitement he received when he sign for us. That fizzled out quickly.

I think the reason Pep might be willing to let Zinchenko now is looking for someone who will be healthy and available for most of the season. Kinda like how Delph got sold because of his injury problems.

Zinchenko compares favorably with Cancelo. He offers a different pattern of play and style. How anyone could utter drivel like an unproven upstart like Cuccurella will surely be better than him is beyond me.
