Does anyone know if Le Parisien is a reliable source?
They are thought as one of the maybetrustworthy sources.
Hence, Though some details could be proven not true, I think the offer (or, at least sort of talk between the clubs) itself was true.

Yeah but if we're not in for him then it's irrelevant whether he said he wanted to work with Pep.Still not Pep tho. I don’t remember Neymar openly talking about a chance to work with Tuchel ? Sterling has just signed.
If the trade rumour is true it means
a) PSG do want to get rid of Neymar
b) We were open enough to signing him that they put an offer of a trade in.
Now we may have rejected the trade, but as the transfer window carries on, if they still want to get rid (why would they change their minds) and we still want him (why would City change their minds?) then a deal could be struck.
Hopefully the British press pick this up and run with it because we know City have been pretty quick and definitive on shutting down nonsense rumours this summer.

Where is that exactly? In a loopy transfer universe, nothing is what it appears to be. -:)I think out of this entire saga, the biggest load of codswallop that we've heard in it is the idea that Pep doesn't want Neymar. He might not want Neymar at a certain price, but he's exactly a Pep type of player. We're essentially where we were yesterday as far as I'm concerned.
If you believe the French media about the trade , then belive them that we will not sign neymar, no need for the British media to confirm it for you
For this much to reach the press, City will have been open to a conversation.Nothing in that article suggests we were actually interested. In fact it claims the opposite.
It suggests just as much that they approached us for Bernardo with Neymar as a makeweight.
You are probably right, might not be the last we hear on this.
Complete article. Apparently they wanted a swap
It is not unusual for PSG to shit on their players through the Parisian media. And this has a whiff of that. 'Psg offered him to City, but City didn't want him and Pep doesn't want him upsetting the squad, look how shit Neymar is'.

Yeah, I'd say we were more than willing to listen to a proposal, any club worth their salt would when it comes to a player like Neymar. For this much to reach the press, City will have been open to a conversation.
They worked together at psg & neymar talked favorably about tuchelStill not Pep tho. I don’t remember Neymar openly talking about a chance to work with Tuchel ? Sterling has just signed.
Guess he was correct
Maybe it almost was but them wanting Bernie probably threw a spanner in the works. The only thing that @93.20blue did that makes it abit strange was make it sound like it was a done deal? Obviously there was at least conversations behind the scenes of a type but it was maybe in excitement pit across as a lot more certain than it seems it actually ever was?
Or maybe the Twitter news are not true or outdated? How many times did this happen just this transfer window. Maybe, there is much more going on behind the scenes as we speak. The only thing that @93.20blue did that makes it abit strange was make it sound like it was a done deal? Agree. 100% whoever quoted that made it up - that's not the sort of personal opinion that would be shared at this stage of negotiations. Why? Maybe, ok. But do you really think City would have told PSG, never mind the french press that Pep didn't want him for this reason or that? There will be a fair bit of making up in that claim.
Couldn't care less about Marketing. That strategy continues to fail for United. Big names, huge ego's and imploded dressing rooms. Where did Ronaldo get United? From 2nd to 6th!Haaland is superstar in making just getting started, Neymar is another level. I mean look at his follower in Instagram only at example, he put all player including Haaland to shame.
Marketing wise our club will get alot of benefit if we can get Neymar to our club, a market and possible new fans from south america audience will be huge boon for our club.
