Frenkie de Jong

It'll be interesting to see his u-turn if/when he signs.

They can't force him to go, im sure the contract he signed would need his consent to to be terminated in non disciplinary circumstances View attachment 49863

It's quite poisonous this transfer. I'm sure TenBob is using as many of his Dutch connections to get him to sign, but it would be nice too see the Rags just distance themselves from it. Take the moral high ground........for once.

Any competent club would have gone about this very differently.

Basically, all big transfers start with off the record chats with agents. Buying club asks player agent if player wants the move, rough terms of deal agreed. Then agent approaches club and says i want you to sell to club x, rough terms agreed. All this done very quietly and in most cases someone says no or the terms are to far apart and it goes away. Rags seem to have forgotten to ask the player if he wants the deal and just jumped on the fact that Barca want to sell.

So its all gone very public without any agreement in place. Any self respecting club would distance themselves as soon as its even suggested the player doesn't want it.

Not the rags - they just dont know when to quit. So at this point even if he signs it just looks awful.

Think they're struggling with the fact a player doesn't want to join them.

A little bit like Madrid.

If he doesn’t want to join Utd, can you blame him? Dysfunctional team, not yet in transition, still a shambles, more players out than in, unlikely to challenge for top 3 and lacking in top players. Does he want to waste 2/3 years of his career in the hope Ten Hag might turn it around? Would you? Of course he’d prefer Chelsea.

Apparently, according to Sport, he doesn't like the 'city of Manchester or how Utd are run' hence not wanting to go.

Chelsea apparently in the running for him now interestingly. I bet he'd jump at the chance and maybe Chelsea wouldn't mind paying some sort of signing-on fee to cover the outstanding wages from Barca.

He must be well pissed off seeing them spunk money on Lewandowski and Raphinha knowing they're being awkward with unpaid wages.

Can you imagine his first MUTV interview lol..WTF does the interviewer say to him..
They wont have him playing playing a piano with a candelabre, more like a violin and a stack of kleenex.
There's nowt to crack one out over at the swamp. Unless you support other teams, in which case MOTD every week is like 10 minutes of freeview

How will they manage the wage bill and make profit after activating the levers idk. Don't think they have been able to sell any of their fringe players as well.
