Oleksandr Zinchenko

There will only be fond memories. Thanks for playing in sky blue. Your passion was always felt when you took to the field, in the good times, the bad and even ugly.

You were a definition of determination and perseverance. All the best in your future endeavours Zinchenko.

I could only watch about three minutes of the interview before switching off, he obviously doesn’t want to go and looks in complete shock. Pretty fucking appalling in my opinion. Players come and go but let’s say Raz going which he obviously wanted, Gabby wanted more game time, but Zinchenko? Fuck that, it’s not always about the best players, it’s about the soul of the club, today I feel another bit got chipped away.

What a strange over reaction and also downright wrong. It was his decision to go for more game time. He didn’t want to be here anymore. Also, he’s going to London and Arsenal. You’re acting like he’s being sent to the gallows. He’s been very well supported by our club and I’m sure he’ll get a terrific reaction on his return. Hopefully the Arsenal fans get behind him as we did.

I was disappointed in how many games he got last season but put that down to his homeland situation, the lads head must have been all over the place but selling him the season after makes me wonder tbh, of course, he may have asked behind closed doors to leave as he wants to be a midfielder etc and fair enough, he gave his all for us when called upon and impacted the last game superbly.

At £32m I think he is plenty cheap enough for a player that can cover 5 or 6 positions.

Best of luck at your new club and I hope your homeland turf out the Russians and try and get back to somewhere like normality.

ps after watching the video it sure comes across that he would have liked to have stayed, to me?

Gutted for him, and us.
I can only hope this wasn't forced on him, and wish him well going forward - apart from 2 games a season obviously.
Worked so hard to prove his worth and never had when things went wrong

If Arsenal/Arteta have given him the opportunity to play in his favoured attacking midfield position then good on him for grabbing the chance.
I think we will miss his character around the place but hopefully we will sign a dedicated left back and be stronger as a result.
Cult hero who put in some great performances and proof that desire and belief can take you a long way.

the lad is in turmoil
and has been for a few months
with whats happening in his country
his sadness is there for all to see
life goes on

all the best lad
