It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

Isn't it funny how we subconsciously try to save Sheikh Mansour a few quid each time we go after a player?

Guy has just paid £600m for a 'boat'.

If he had let Blue Moon broker it, we would have at least got him £500k off the toilet roll holders ;)
But paid over the odds for the paper

Agree with this, the emphasis on appearing self-sufficient and FFP 'compliant' points to this deal not getting done.

A £20 Million difference in valuation between the club's at this stage is a clear indication.

When has a protracted transfer saga ever gone in City's Favour? We've walked away from players twice as good as Cucurella.
If it's not a release clause dont put your trust in Txiki. Quite clearly the management are happy with Cancelo, Walker and Wilson-Esbrand as our full-backs this season.
I wouldn’t say the management are entirely happy with the full back options otherwise we would not be trying to buy Cucu. Rest of the post I agree with.

I meant, if we don't sign Cucu I don't think there's a back up option and well start the season with the 3 full backs mentioned.

We have cover but it would be risky so I would hope we move into another fullback. Either way the squad is in great shape.

Just fighting the narrative TH, deep down blues all know our roots.
Like being brought up in Gorton but feeling embarrassed when returning to visit your gran in the Range Rover, even if paid for.

It’s a very nice super yacht to be fair and only second in size to Dilbar… It’s the longest yacht though so guess that’s all he’ll care about. I’d also be surprised if it only cost $600m as well (yes I realise how crazy that sentence is lol), Roman and a few others like good old Jeff have built smaller yachts for $1b!
Don’t forget it also costs 10% minimum of the build value to maintain and run these yachts every year… that’s a minimum of £60m just to keep it ticking over lol. Mind blowing numbers.
I'm pretty sure he'll be getting mates rates :-)

This is incredibly harsh. The guy has just secured Haaland for God's sake.

It's also absolute bollocks. Phillips didn't have a release clause and we paid far less than was being reported.

Alvarez didn't have a release clause and most people would agree we've got him for an absolute bargain price.

The Txiki narrative created by some on here is tiresome shite.
