I wouldn't agree with that but I would say that our now infamous left back was at fault for the injury he got for us going in to a stupid pointless tackle so it does happen.

It definitely happens, Actually happens more so when it's a 50/50 and a player goes in half hearted and then tends to pick up an injury. The Laporte challenge it was a good tackle he won the ball, It was just unfortunate the way Jimenez put weight on him in the follow through.

Wish him a speedy recovery
did a good job for us and played a big part in our title.
He won the free kick which resulted in 2nd goal vs West Ham with his already injured leg. Done a lot in my eyes.

Warrior. Put his body on the line, probably knew it would set him back considerably which may result in him struggling to regain his place first half of the season but did it anyway for the team. Zabba does that, he's labelled a hero, let's hope laporte gets the same level of appreciation. Those that questioned his commitment might want to have a rethink.

I think Laporte played through the pain barrier big time in those last few matches, because we had literally no one else fit. We owe him a lot for that and he should be allowed to recuperate fully now, with no rushing, I’m sure he will be.

Pep doesn't seem to like playing four right footed players at the back so I think Ake probably starts every game until Laporte is fit. That could change if we sign Cucurella of course.

Let's hope not. Medical science is so far ahead of where it was in the late 90s. Injuries like the ones suffered by Morrison, Lake or Bell aren't career enders like they were when they were playing.
