Bookmarked! He will be a a City player by the end of the weekend.
You called the transfer request, but with all the reports saying otherwise you'd be a god for calling this one.He will be a a City player by the end of the weekend.
So if City up the offer to what Chelsea are prepared to pay, does that then start a bidding war ??
Or is then up to Cucurella to decide which club he really wants?
Honestly, I'd barely heard a thing about him until we were linked, then all of a sudden everyone was rating him as the best thing since sliced bread. Can't say I noticed him. Either way, he'd be backup at the moment, Cancelo and Walker are our starting fullbacks. Sure, Kyle is getting older, but he's still first choice RB and will be for a while yet I'd imagine as there are no signs of problems.
Do I think we desperately need a backup leftback? Yep. Does it need to be a £50m one? Of course not. Move on, sign someone decent at a sensible price, or a young player yet to be valued at world class value.
Also helps that their best player plays right wing...klopp the football genius lol

Isn't it just fella..Move on to what?
Yes it might have grated but it wasn't extortionate in today's market and now we have lost our "perfect fit" target and there aren't exactly many alternatives anywhere near as good. The whole saga is puzzling
Yes they do bud..no Brighton hold all the cards on valuation
Haaland had a release clause and wanted to come to City so not sure excellent negotiation skills were needed. In contrast to the Haaland negotiations, which were handled brilliantly, this has been poorly handled by the hierarchy at City. If we're drawing a line in the sand at 40m, why wasn't this made clear 6-8 weeks ago, instead of it dragging on? And on, and on, and on. As for selling Zinchenko without having his replacement nailed down with a signed contract; it defies belief, really. Now, we'll likely be starting the season with no specialist, experienced LB.
To be fair Salah loves playing against most left backs. The vast majority of games Cancelo is fine at left back.true

Seems fairly simple to me at the moment. We had a price we were willing to pay but Brighton weren't willing to budge on their valuation.Move on to what?

Handled poorly just because we wouldn't pay more than what Pep thought he was worth? Odd conclusion. These deals always take a while whether they are completed or not.In contrast to the Haaland negotiations, which were handled brilliantly, this has been poorly handled by the hierarchy at City. Cucurella wasn't a top signing otherwise we would of paid Brighton their valuation without questionHence everyone now coming in, if they come in, is rebound signing
Handled poorly because we knew Brighton’s valuation, we made one bid and it rightly got rejected. We still wanted him apparently and for me wasted time when the stance was very very clear. Not going above what we feel I’m fine with, if I want the player or not. Just walk away if that’s the caseHandled poorly just because we wouldn't pay more than what Pep thought he was worth? Perhaps we haven't wasted time, and have been looking at alternatives while people on here have been moaning.Handled poorly because we knew Brighton’s valuation, we made one bid and it rightly got rejected. If you read my post, you'll have seen me mentioning the drawing of a line in the sand. I have no problem with that whatsoever. If it means we avoid being milked in future deals, it's not a bad thing. Avoid the "City Tax". What I was talking about earlier was about the saga going on and on. Now; unless Brighton led us up the garden path, saying that they'd accept our bid, only to back off late on (and I haven't access to what goes on behind the scenes), we should have moved on to alternative targets several weeks back.Handled poorly just because we wouldn't pay more than what Pep thought he was worth? Perhaps not that easy when we've gone a certain way down the line with the player and he's handed a transfer request in to try and get things moving. It's hard under those circumstances to leave him hanging. Now Chelsea have come in for him, it's probably easier to move on to our next target.Just walk away if that’s the case
