Ah well, it was nice while it lasted.
 
Its a worry its just like the kane saga last season, we put all our eggs in one basket confident of a result, and end up empty handed once more, clubs will rinse us price wise knowing we’re that desperate for a quality left back

I see Kasper Schmeichel is away to Nice, strange move. Always hypothetically kind of thought he would be a good one to bring in as a senior keeper to have around as one of the 3, being club trained and not taking up a spot. I guess with 3 spare spots this year, that is hardly a consideration.

Funny how we have gone from years of discussions of 'squad is too full, might need to drop someone (Carson) from the CL squad' etc, to, we now have 3 registered spaces to fill.

Strange thing to say - the club aims to be competitive in all competitions every year, with particular focus on the league. The point being made is that getting an additional fullback is well within the club's ability and would be a good idea in a very busy season. It won't necessarily win us anything, but it's less of a risk than going with 2 senior FBs.
