Based on the huge set of chance events and coincidences that seem to have led us to life on earth (rag and dipper numpties excepted) I am of the opinipn that no, aliens do not exist, at lease not in this very large corner of the universe, so for all intents and purposes, no, none.

Er… Clearly not a blue to say that, I see Moonchester every match so there’s your proof.

Idk how valid the "Gomez to Girona (if he signs for City/CFG)" rumors are. Girona is close to signing LB Miguel Gutierrez from Real Madrid for ~€6M (got them a big investment).

Of course, they could be targeting Gomez to play more mid and in his natural position.

Or possibly they are thinking about Gutierrez as a LCB. They currently have no left backs in the squad so may bring in 2.

City will bring one in but only if we deem the player ready.

Sergio Gomez was one of the best players in Belgium last season. His games before new year were really incredible.

When he came to us, Vinny decided to play him out as a left back. At Huesca and the Spanish national team he mostly played as a midfielder. At first Kompany got lots of criticism (what's new in Belgium) for doing that, because Gomez had some defensive flaws. but in the system of Kompany Gomez got an essential role. Almost every game he had an assist, and his defensive positioning got better. His passing is really great, especially putting the ball in front of the goal.

After new year opponents started to adapt to Gomez. And at the end of the season he struggled with some fitness issues. With at the end some pubalgie troubles.
What is his strength? IMO to be a good full back in PL have to either have pace or have good work rate. Better to have both.

Is he a greedy type or a team player type? Just wonder.

According to the transfer guru, the deal is done, and he will stay with the City squad.
