Briefs that the transfer fee would be too high have already started.
He's going nowhere this summer.

Agreed, it seems like we're willing to help Barca out signing any of our players, but I can imagine they'd make it nigh on impossible if we wanted to sign anyone from them.I mean, let's take the mask off. No one is denying the quality and importance of Bernardo. You have to be an idiot to do that. But at this point is like staring at a plane coming at you, and still doing it because you want to see the colour of the tie of the pilot. We all know what direction this is going to. It's as clear as the skies, over this upcoming week in Manchester. My problem stems from the attitude towards us as a club. Like we are some abused entity just waiting for the bitch-slap and not doing anything in return. We knew about Ferran, we knew about Garcia. We KNOW about Bernardo.
At what point do you actually start taking either A: Corrective action and fully block the move. or B: Appropriate reaction, replace and bid before the move happens. ( see Zinchenko ).
It's fucking clear no one at UEFA and FIFA will say anything to these fuckers because mEs qUe un fucking bent club.
Even if the move happens next year, get a replacement in, bench Bernardo, let him rust, and sell then. We are not some whiny club, we are PL champions and an institution highly regarded in world football. Let's start acting like it, or at least flex some muscles, demand some god damn respect!
Marriage guidance, only on Bluemoon ;)They have enough money for her to fly out to Barcelona whenever she wants for 1 / 2 / 3 days or whatever ... and she won't be on Ryanair. She could go back whenever he's on an away trip. If the rumours that she's the driving force behind this are true, she needs to get in the real world and start putting Bernardo's career before her own selfish needyness
Heard fabian ruiz is in last year of his contract or paquetta both could be good fits or even de jong. One things for sure the club will have something lined up if bernardo does infact go.yeah he certainly wants out if it can be done, my only issue will be who we replace him with?
Cheers. Nuts that.24th of August the game
I hope we are getting a considerable fee for that game, if we are playing for free, its utterly bizarre, especially the timing of it.Cheers. Nuts that.

Are we still playing Barca midweek?
ok, well good causes and all.....Getting nothing all going to charity
I sense a change in attitude regarding this topic on BM. Enough is enough and people have much worse problems to deal with than a complaining girlfriend with only a dog called John for company. I still hope he stays.
I’m not sure I’d agree about the players they’ve bought. Good players, yes, but a level below the players that brought them success. I’d expect us to beat them comfortably over two legs. They’ll compete in Spain because there’s only three teams but Real look much stronger. They should stop fighting it and develop their youth for a few seasons but they’re too proud. Anyway, let’s hope they don’t get their players registered (rolls eyes), they will of course.I don't understand this point of view. Barca have gone and mortgaged their future for a transfer window but look at the players they have bought. They are going to challenge for trophies, no doubt.
They haven't defaulted on any wages to anyone, they are shifting dead wood by the week and have a chairman willing to push things that have never been done before, rightly or wrongly.
If it goes wrong and Barca fold, Bernardo walks away and has a line of clubs waiting to sign him. Where is the risk?
I don’t blame him for wanting to live in the sun. What I can’t let him get away with though is trying to leave before his contract has ended. If he didn’t want to stay for this long, he shouldn’t have signed a contract for that amount of years. He’s trying to have his cake and eat it. If he saw his contract out and then said ‘I’m off’ I’d have no issues and wish him all the best. If I was him I’d be fully expecting to see the contract that I signed out unless another club paid a fee that City were happy with (which is looking increasingly unlikely as the days go by).All getting a bit weird on here to be honest, particularly pinning all of the blame on Bernardo’s girlfriend.
For all we know he could fancy a move away after being here for a decent amount of time and winning everything there is to win here domestically. He could just fancy moving to a different culture. He may be happy to play in a worse league in order to experience that culture. But none of us know what his intentions or motivations are, so we shouldn’t pretend that we do and blame it on his girlfriend.
Personally I believe that if a good bid comes in, he’ll likely leave. But that’s just an assumption, and could be absolute bollocks. And if he leaves, then we’ll buy a good player with perhaps slightly different attributes and keep on winning.
A lot of times though players do this (renew their contract) with agreement of clubs they can leave knowing full well the club can still get a decent fee for them as opposed to zilch if the contract runs out or has minimal time left so I'm the opposite I'd rather him leave now if that's what he wants and we can get a suitable replacement rather than letting him run his contract down.I don’t blame him for wanting to live in the sun. I’d be happy with him leaving too provided we get what he’s worth and can get a replacement at this late stage. Both of which seem unlikely. If that’s the case then I’d be telling him he’s going to have to suck it up and try again next summer.A lot of times though players do this (renew their contract) with agreement of clubs they can leave knowing full well the club can still get a decent fee for them as opposed to zilch if the contract runs out or has minimal time left so I'm the opposite I'd rather him leave now if that's what he wants and we can get a suitable replacement rather than letting him run his contract down.
