Raphael Guerreiro

City shouldn't pay over 25M for an about to be 29-year-old with one year left on his deal.
I'd start at 20M with add on's to 25M and see if BVB bite.
Not sure who we'd be bidding against, as he has not been linked to anyone else this window based on reports.

Very classy footballer. The best 'footballer' of all the recent links. Not quite Cancelo levels but yep, he can definitely play. Historically as much of a midfielder or wing back which tells you something about his defensive abilities alas. Lacks a bit of outright pace, but got a good burst of speed in him.

Noticed that we heard nothing about Digne. He can defend a bit and has a great left foot.

Yeah - this ones not going to be easy.

They’ll want a replacement, and there’s not a lot of time left to get one sorted.

Given the timings, I’d prefer we looked elsewhere.

Great player though.
His injury history seems absymal looking at the tweets going around.

They might take a player exchange. They like to develop young English talent. What about offering them Edozie? Plus cash

Bit of a no thrills signing, he's solid enough for a squad role but I wouldn't pay more than what we sold Zinchenko for and I doubt Dortmund would accept that.

Similar in possession play to Cucurella. Better offensively worse defensively.

Is that just last season?

Because Marco Rose was a fucking disaster in terms of injuries.

Haaland spent plenty of time out too, as did half their squad!
Not to take this thread off topic but that's what really bugged me when people kept rattling on about Haaland's injuries. Dortmund's medical team is awful and their whole squad are victims of it, not just Haaland.

On the one hand, how many times have we heard that now? Tierney, Chillwell, Sosa. Fullbacks get a lot of muscle strains and so on.

On the other. Wow. That's... half a season last year, on and off, mostly just with the muscle issues, then COVID. And then more problems, and a rest period. I'd be very concerned that the virus could have impacted his ability to recover.
