Pep has form for this, as both Bernardo & KDB started out as wide players, whereby Guardiola moved them both inside where they've excelled...Its an option but its not a good one unless he improves hugely

I understand that.Pep has form for this, as both Bernardo & KDB started out as wide players, whereby Guardiola moved them both inside where they've excelled...
It's for no other reason that they don't want to look like dicks when he makes them eat their words after slagging him off prior to his signing and since. There seems to be an element of city fans who also want Jack to fail? Very strange and maybe they have been warped by the media
As did a certain David Silva…Pep has form for this, as both Bernardo & KDB started out as wide players, whereby Guardiola moved them both inside where they've excelled...
Think it would be Foden myself, I’m sure there was a Pep quote from last season saying Foden was almost ready to move inside. It would be Grealish. Whether he is ready to kick on is open to suggestion. Next season we have a better chance in replacing Bernardo.
Either off them would get the chance if Bernardo departs this season but it does seem Foden has the advantage as he had been involved in the league games vs LiverpoolThink it would be Foden myself, I’m sure there was a Pep quote from last season saying Foden was almost ready to move inside.
I just think if you list all Bernardos best qualities Foden would tick most of them.
Then replace Bernardo / Foden with a winger, obviously next summer would be better, and think it will be next summer.
Wonder if we might see it tried tomorrowThink it would be Foden myself, I’m sure there was a Pep quote from last season saying Foden was almost ready to move inside.

We'll see. I never considered it myself until last week when someone kept mentioning he reckoned City bought Grealish to replace Bernardo, who Pep thought was going to leave last season.I understand that.
Im saying that at present Grealish is nowhere near that level of ability....or even the maturity to play that role....
For me Foden is already a far superior player than Grealish
Didn’t he play as an 8 against Spurs away in the opening game last season? We'll see. I never considered it myself until last week when someone kept mentioning he reckoned City bought Grealish to replace Bernardo, who Pep thought was going to leave last season.
Thinking about it, I can actually see something in that line of thought. Grealish was no worse in his first season under Pep, than Rodri, Cancelo, Mahrez etc, so I suppose this season will tell us a lot more about Jack & City's longterm plan for him.
Grealish?Didn’t he play as an 8 against Spurs away in the opening game last season?
OR Grealish or Foden could move inside, meaning we could be looking for a wide player instead...
Yeah, I think he did as we hardly had any players back from the Euros.Grealish?
That would mean leaving out Bernardo and Gundogan though so I’d be surprised.Wonder if we might see it tried tomorrow
Yeah, it’s unlikely, but the perfect scenario to give it a go though. That would mean leaving out Bernardo and Gundogan though so I’d be surprised.
He may well have been played as a No 8. I remember being pissed off that Pep played a "weakened" team, or players out of position, claiming our players were too tired & FIFA/UEFA expect them to play much more football than is safe for them.Yeah, I think he did as we hardly had any players back from the Euros.
Sure it was Fernandinho, Gundogan and Grealish in midfield, with Mahrez, Sterling and Torres up top.
Like tomorrow? He may well have been played as a No 8. I remember being pissed off that Pep played a "weakened" team, or players out of position, claiming our players were too tired & FIFA/UEFA expect them to play much more football than is safe for them.
It always seemed Pep was more making a point & taking a stand, rather than giving returning players a half each. At least he's tried to hit the ground running this season.
Back to Jack in central midfield... Personally I'd like to see him tried there a few times in some easier home games. I think it best we start planning for life after Bernardo Silva from now.
SaddoI wish we walked away from Aston Villa too
Foden is great but he doesn't have the same hunger/drive/edge/fight as Bernardo. Plus he would not have the stamina to do what Bernardo does. That said there are 5 subs this season so he only needs to be a terrier for 60 mins.Think it would be Foden myself, I’m sure there was a Pep quote from last season saying Foden was almost ready to move inside.

You think? I think he does have those qualities in abundance. It’s what’s behind the ears that might limit Foden most.Foden is great but he doesn't have the same hunger/drive/edge/fight as Bernardo. Plus he would not have the stamina to do what Bernardo does. That said there are 5 subs this season so he only needs to be a terrier for 60 mins.
Lol yeah! :-)Like tomorrow?
