I set mine up a few months ago and still not used it ‍♂️
 
I like that new Garmin and having the parkrun barcode on it will help - forgot my barcode this morning but remembered just in time to dash home and get to the start with a few minutes to spare. The adrenaline must have been pumping as I managed sub 28 which is the quickest I've done for a while, wouldn't recommend doing that every week though! Nice flat course.
 
Only one run for me this week. Getting my endorphin fix on the bike instead. Ten cycle rides this week and clocked up 150 miles. I'm on the road before 6.00 am most mornings and loving this hot weather.

I rarely get injured, but I've picked up a bruised left heel. I probably got it on Wednesday evening, playing football, but I have no recollection of a challenge that could have caused it.

So I'm reluctantly missing my usual Parkrun today. I've had a bruised heel before, and although running is less painful than walking, I think only complete rest from running will bring about the quickest recovery. Very annoying, but I suppose it is for the best.

Haha. I've got a decent bike, but not used it in a while.

I went against my own advice, and did a Parkrun anyway. 25:49 in the heat at Delamere, which I'm pleased with. There was no pain at all on my heel, perhaps because when running, you push off from your toes. I'm not injuries expert. Very pleased I could run without discomfort though.

The Parkrun barcode scanner worked a treat.

Anyone ever attempted to return used trainers due to a possible size issue?
I've started to get blisters which wasn't too much of a bother at first, but my right big toe now has a discoloured nail and is very sore (not sure if its a blister under the nail or just a nail issue), but i'm now thinking I should have gone half a size up, and hopefully that will alleviate the problem.

I've only done about ~150km in these, and do clean them up after every run, so they still look in great condition, but obviously the soles will show a bit of wear. I expect my chances of returning are slim, so considering a bit of sabotage to attempt a refund by way of being 'faulty'!

Great North Run in just under 4 weeks, so really need to get a new pair quickly and break them in, but at £160 for a new pair, dont really want to just write off the old ones.
 
Successful 5k run completed. First time in a couple of weeks it's been cool enough to not have to stop to walk. Now home in a sweaty mess to find the water has gone off due to a nearby water main burst. Oh well, will have to stay stinky for now #firstworldproblems
