Not setting unreasonable targets then?
I don't expect we will ever be invincibles. It's our style to go for a win at all times. Occasionally you will get a Palace or Spurs game when we get caught on the break and the opposition is clinical. But I expect we will most seasons comfortably beat the Arsenal invincibles points total

We could double or even treble the Invincible points total and lose 1 and we still won’t be as good as the invincibles.

I don't know what anyone else thinks, but to me this team appears to carry more of a fear factor (we always have a fear factor) for opponents than previously. The normal pattern is that the opposition set up a low block with the aim of hanging in there for 80 minutes and having a few attacks in the last 10. That rarely works but teams - even the scousers and the Old Toilet brigade - do it against us. I expected more from West Ham, as last season Antonio and Bowen (both excellent players in my view) looked threatening against us. Neither West Ham nor Bournemouth really threatened us - apart from a few loose passes from our players that could have led to us conceding. And we're the undercooked team.....

They didn't threaten because we didn't let them. We could do with a Bournemouth player coming out on interview saying just how good we are. It's that sort of thing that makes the opposition believe they are beaten even before a ball has been kicked.

As for the game, from what I saw from my seat in the sun which was ridiculous. as was the clownish letting off of pyros before the game, we played OK. Starting from the back, Eddy could have got a deck chair out and read an Agaton Sax book, Ake was superb, He defends properly and uses the ball well. Our full backs spent most of the game inverted wandering around the midfield creating space (although i do worry that against a better side on the counter it may be our undoing) Rodri is turning into a very special player, he gets better and better. Gundogan is magnificent, I have always loved players who make the game look simple and he is a master of it. At the moment he really is playing the best football of his life. Up top it was tough against a 4-5-1 which became a 9-1 formation and space was at a premium which made Erlings assist that much better. They were scared to death of him, which helped us find small pockets and allowed us to dominate. I loved Jacks chipped ball to Cancelo, that was fabulous and helped us finish the game off.

Good to see Pep use all the subs on a day that I hope I never have to endure watching a game of football in again, and brilliant to see young Rico get a debut. Alvarez did well too, when he settles he will be a handful for any team. his work ethic is impressive. Loved the reception for Bernardo, he is loved.

Negatives, none really, apart from our squad maybe looks a little thin.

We have definitely had worse weekends though
And KDB's goal...pure class, can't stop re watching it

Nephew knows a Bournemouth player he said in second half he thought he had heat stroke as it looked to him that we had 16 players!
