When human rights abuses, famine & treatment of immigrants are mentioned in relation to City it should be historical.

Without the deliberate starvation of the people of Ireland, mass migration into Manchester wouldn’t have occurred. Areas of little Ireland, Angel Meadow, Ancoats described as a living hell or the worst place on earth wouldn’t or shouldn’t have existed. The centre of the industrial revolution & typhoid & Cholera became a breeding ground for gangs & violence which were solved by the introduction of boys & sports clubs such as St Marks.

There is a link & a story but it’s just not part of the Agenda.

Always surprises we don't have more Irish support as our founder was a vicars daughter from Tipperary I think, Ann Connell rings a bell, but may have got name wrong. Watched first Etihad Derby in family's local in North Dublin only blue shirt in a sea of red fortunately had my rag nephew and his mates to look out for me. Seldom enjoyed a win more went mental when SWP got that goal wonder I got out alive.

I sincerely hope Harris makes a full recovery and it must of been awful for him and his children when his wife passed away.

I feel it is also important to point out this man before/during/since has constantly lied and whether it be written/social media/Radio & TV, consistently repeats those same lies about City.

He personally has zero integrity and whatever his current personal situation is, those lies and deliberate misinformation should not be glossed over because of his personal life. All people unfortunately good & bad have very similar tragedies in their personal life, it does and should not detract from the absolute shit stain of a person Harris is.

Let’s not forget, his most recent use of the vile Bennell and his horrible crimes to score cheap shots and lies about not only his involvement in the case but his personal obsession with lying about all things connected to Manchester City.

Except… it wasn’t, really, was it? Both of these names have been bought, and are now being used for something else altogether. The names of these football clubs now represent something different for the 21st century; they’re brand names being used to launder reputations, a vision of a future in which light entertainment is packaged in such a way that it obscures the behaviour of those who own these particular means of production.

Manchester City supporters have had a decade and a half to get used to not being who they used to be anymore, and it would be unrealistic to suggest that they don’t like it. A club which, prior to the intervention of hundreds of millions of pounds of oil money, hadn’t won a major trophy since 1976 and which hadn’t won the league since 1968 was suddenly in amongst the trophies again. And in a sporting world in which all success is bought to some extent or other, why should they care about the origins of the money funding it?
