He's got a very bright future.

I remember watching Trippier at a similar age and he was very much like Rico. Small, fairly quick (not fast), technically gifted, aggressive and intelligent in possession.

If we integrate him slowly there's no reason he can't be pushing for a regular starting spot in around 2-3 years.

He made a few mistakes, as you'd expect, but I really liked his composure on the ball and willingness to received pressure in possession. He looks custom built to play that inverted role.

Only mistake I saw was a good one as in just holding on to the ball to long but that a positive because he believed he could get out of the two players closing him down and he did that to! Top talent and you know peps likes the lad and when pep likes you will get game time even a 17 year old…

sorry Lewis was nowhere near impressive. good footwork is not good enough, I thought every thing else about his game were poor.

Feels like Pep rates him a lot higher than Mbete and Wilson-Esbrand as those two have been on the bench about 20 times between them and neither has made their PL debut. Although it’s still a couple of months away, I wonder if Pep will start him vs Chelsea in the Carabao Cup?

A lot of city kids time just fall on there side but with walkers age and 5 subs you can see Rico getting 10/15 games this seasons which at 18/19 could be enough time to get himself established with the squad for the next 5-10years hopefully

I thought he did well.He looked composed and confident and displayed great tenacity and intelligence on the ball.

At 17,the kid has a bright future.

pep doesnt give game time just because, and he clearly rates this kid, otherwise he wouldnt feature at all
