Premier League Games 3/4 Sept '22

after having seen the ridiculous and insane var decisions or non-decisions today i'm 100% certain they have now doubled down on "any top team that can challenge city for the title has to be saved".

whatever you say won't change my mind

It’s about protecting the product and ensuring the competition goes as long into the season as they can possibly make it.

The on-field red looked at it for a long time.
I felt like he really didn't want to change his decision, I even thought he might stick with his original decision. But obviously in the end he didn't have the balls to go against VAR officials.

Have we had a ref who’s had the balls yet to stick with his original decision? Disgrace of a free kick that, Moyes has every right to call VAR and the officials out.
Yes, happened today. Although granted it doesn't happen enough

Hope the lads are clinical. From the decisions in certain games, can’t trust the tech in the hands of the officials so best to put Villa to the sword convincingly

But they don’t have the cranial capacity to effect such a thing. If you’re gonna do that there’s all sorts of craftier, less obvious ways. I don’t think they’re bent; they’re just absolutely fucking incompetent.

It does make you wonder about their refusal to mike up referees. What are they afraid of us hearing? Their amateurishness or their corruption?

In 2022 there won’t be too many worse than that . . . . for an hour. Maybe a day.

What the fuck is wrong with this sport? Best league in the world refereed by utter amateurs.
Nothing is going to change. Money has probably played its part in the current situation.

That sort of incompetency would benefit all sides randomly.

It never ever does.

We have before fought against the corrupt var but this season it really seems they are not hiding it anymore and are going all out, hope the team doesn't get discouraged seeing these corrupt decisions week in week out

The issue is continue incompetency, uncorrected, becomes corruption, as it is a choice not a circumstance at that point.

I think I've just seen the worst VAR decision ever. Tyrick Mitchell pushed Joe Willock into Guaita and then Mitchell diverts the ball into the net. The ref gives it correctly and then VAR intervenes and the ref watches the screen and cancels the goal, crazy.

It’s because you’re owned by people from Asia.

Apparently.

Can someone explain this to me Richarlason scored for spurs was offside but during the celebrations was booked for taking shirt off if he hadn’t of scored he wouldn’t have been booked obviously so why wasn’t the card ruled out ..
