I don't think any of us should take a blind bit of notice of Tariq Panja. He had an hour with arguably the biggest global superstar in the sport, plays for a club owned by Qatar and 'didn't have time' to ask him any questions about Qatar and 'Sportswashing'.

I honestly usually just ignore it but this was so fucking brazen that it had to be flagged. He's awful.

To have the temerity to slag off other journalists for months for not asking the "tough questions" and then to fail to do it over an HOUR long interview? It's not just Toon and City fans who should be outraged -- his fellow reporters should be too. What's shocking isn't just the gutlessness, nor the hypocrisy, but the blatant stupidity of this.

Tariq Panja has said many times that the most important issue in modern football is “sport washing” and has even criticised other sport “journalists” for not holding us, Newcastle, and PSG to account when having direct access to management and players.

Then he offers this shithouse excuse for not asking one single question about the subject he thinks is the most pertinent topic in football today.

Ha. Never really been a fan of the maroon shirts. Personally feel City's brand should be blue shirts, white shorts always. Maroon accents fine. Our 'brand' is so wishy washy that it genuinely annoys me! We could own the blue and white thing throughout the world (same way loads of other clubs have clear colour identities) but we spend too busy switching short colours every few years or letting Puma put some random purple on the shoulders.
