Some places are saying 9 days without sport - but you're still looking at 3 games, with nowhere to squeeze them in. I'd accept stuff being moved from the day of the funeral, and maybe no games on the day she dies, but otherwise it seems over the top.

I’m sure it will all come out in the wash. All we can do is see what happens.

When Diana died, they cancelled the Super Sunday match between Liverpool and Newcastle which was due to take place later that same day. Whichever way we look at it, the Queen passing away would be even bigger news but it could be that that game was only postponed as it was on the same day that she (Diana) died.
