Chelsea-Liverpool, United-Leeds, Brighton-Palace all off, rest of the games on (pg 128)

I do think this is the wrong decision. Start each game with a minutes applause and God Save The Queen to honour and respect her memory. the attendances at all games singing the Anthem in full voice means far mare than deserted grounds and a sense of animosity that will be the result of this very short sighted opinion
Obviously not including Anfield in that

It’s the selective cancellations I don’t understand. I can go pub / club get smashed, go comedy club for a laugh go strip club but I can’t watch football!

Anybody explain this ?
Probably the best week to go to a comedy club for years, to be fair.

If you want to pay respects to the queen by not attending a football match then however odd that would seem to me as a form of mourning it's not for me to say how you deal with something so close and dear to your heart but then just don't go. Anyone else who isn't bothered or wishes to mourn or pay their respects in a different way should be allowed to attend a football match rather than have this enforced upon them.

The only sensible move is not to play on the day of the funeral. I suppose a lot depends on which day that is. It could be a Monday which would have little impact or a Saturday (as with Princess Diana). Hopefully they will play tomorrow.
Sensible didn't come into it, I expect.
Respect, yes, but, it looks like 3 weeks of repetetive shit to come.
Buggar!!!
