Looks like the premier league and EFL have shown how out of touch they are again and have jumped in fear of backlash, despite Government officials saying the games can be played. The Queen loved her sport, I can not think of a better send off than football grounds being full around the country all weekend paying respects with minutes silences and belting out the national anthem. What a joke.

Yeah we've got an 8 Yr old who's training and tournaments have been cancelled. The kids are upset. Do the FA expect them to be sat at home all weekend crying because the Queen has died?
A few of the team are going to the field for a kick about instead.

No, but they’ll be shoved in front of the box and told to watch history unfold, whilst be bored out of their minds.

My reading from the Guardian piece is that our Wolves match next Saturday will be game on.
 
Hmmm rugby and cricket go ahead tomorrow yet football doesn’t,as some have already posted bit strange when other sports are continuing,maybe there’s more to it than we are being told,maybe the fear of disruption at the minutes silence which probably would have took place at games was part of the reason but that’s a bit of a reach from me thinking that..
 
Hard to believe that the season started earlier and yet there is a possibility of going into October having played only 6 league games.

32 games and a World Cup in the mix to follow.

Going to be a case of who can cope best with the revised schedule.

Maybe they were afraid that Liverpool fans would boo the minutes silence and the national anthem, wouldn't put it past them.

Would suit City if the games from this weekend had to be played the week after the world Cup squads leave for The tournament.
 
The World Cup is steadily getting nearer what an insensitive to go out there and bring it home, especially after the shit show of a year we’ve had to put up with . Proving to the FA and the powers that be nothing brings the country together more than football.
We should of on mass been able to show our respects.We do it correctly on Remembrance weekend and could and would of shown the right and correct respect tomorrow.

Correct pal, Golf and Cricket showing the way, starting back up with tributes whilst football fans sat at home or in the pub unable to show their appreciation. As someone said it’s virtue signalling, too afraid of the Social Media Society, man up (can we say that) and grow a pair you softie’s.

Hammo the FA have had their heads up their arses for far too long they think there unanswerable to no one ,too busy in protecting the brand , like too many institutions they fail to let the people speak .

We’re playing the long game. Resting out players to be in top shape when they have to play in 60 degree heat, but there are fans on.
 
You’d think in a time of planning for the worst, someone might have considered what we do if the Queen dies. Ffs she was 96. I saw the headline the world was in shock…….really

It’s a shame that public show of respect & appreciation can’t be shown, all codes of sport & all over the commonwealth will have that opportunity but the premier league has denied English football fans that.
