I think back then, he stood out as he had a few more brain cells than our other players. He was never a fan’s favourite as he didn’t get stuck in, which is all we could demand at the time, but could find space and had half an eye for a goal.

Yep. That’s the benefit of having a 50p head. The keepers couldn‘t anticipate where the ball was going.
