Liverpool Away tickets on sale tues 20/09 - 9am

Supporters clubs would have been asked weeks ago to submit how many they want

Then last week they were told what they were allocated.

How they divvy up is their business
Here we go again with the discussion on how wrong it is that someone with few points in an SC will get a ticket. It is wrong and the branches should be held accountable as to who is receiving the tickets.

Just out if interest, why didn’t you respond to the poster who said they had the points but chose to pass their lads ticket on? You chose to focus on a long established part of the allocation.

FWIW, I only go to the games I have the points for and I’ve got nothing against people using their initiative to get tickets.

There was 667 left in one block at 9am so it shows how many have 26k+ points.

Restricted view will add nearly 400 to the amount left too.
The first window will have been anyone on 26k+ points and the 18-25 allocation, which sold out in about 45 seconds. But I do agree that there's way more on 26k+ than people realise.

Also found it interesting that in Block 124 there were 667 left however the larger Block 123 only had around 50 left at 9am. Why would they bunch all the cooperates/tourists together in one block.

That’s how I see it too mate. I can understand Blues wanting to go for the first time or who go to every game but I prefer nearly every other fixture.
As far as days out on the piss watching City go, it's one of the worst for sure. Giving it a miss this year as I'm having to be more selective with my away games due to cost, etc.

Sorry didn't see that post but that is wrong really although marginally better than branches dishing out tickets willy nilly. I have over 21k points and whilst I can get tickets for most games Liverpool is one I struggle with as so many tickets are creamed off. Presumably if someone has 24k points and applies via the branch but doesn't have one allocated to him / her, they can then apply via the points. Is that right that they have two bites at the cherry. Maybe there should be a system whereby the people that apply via the branch aren't then allowed to apply via points. It's ether one or the other. We know the system isn't the fairest at the moment and these debates only spring up after a few matches i.e. this one, the derby, Bournemouth etc. I am still of the belief though that the club does itself no favours by working with ticket agencies, giving tickets to pointless vloggers and giving wat appears to be an increasing number of tickets to sponsors who have no real affiliation to the club. More tickets should be made available to season card holders and not hangers on and those with money. Fed up of being around 'fans' who need to be told who scored a goal or who are at their first game or even worse wearing a half and half scarf!

Thanks EDS. That’s a god argument against people getting tickets through unauthorised sources. Personally, I’m not that mithered if peole use their initiative to get a ticket but I can see why people who have just missed out are frustrated.

Can I just give you an example about Supporters Clubs to balance your bias. We have 170 members and have been allocated 2 tickets for Anfield. There’s no double dipping. At the moment we’ve got members working on causes out in Ukraine sponsored by the OSC. The majority of the members are season card holders and we take a 50 seater coach to the Etihad for home games.

If you don’t think the OSC should get any tickets fair enough and the debate on that topic has been done to death on here

I stand to be corrected but I think that if you apply for a ticket with the supporters club wether you are successful or unsuccessful then you are not able to apply for one through city via the usual method.

Like I say I stand to be corrected.

Anyone with a large amount of points doesn't need a supporters club to get tickets. They'd join them for transport to games and events they hold.

I disagree - easy to get to by train (assuming no strike!), go in the City centre pre-match, pick a decent pub, taxi to the ground. Sure, the away end is shit but it's one of the biggest matches of the season so I want to be there. As an away trip it's far better than the swamp, which for us is usually a straight in and out job.

Not sure I said the branches shouldn't get any tickets. Understand that the numbers don't work out with the branch on this occasion but out of those 170 how many have more points than the figure it will sell out at and how many actually want to and are able to go i.e. not away, working etc. Your branch may do things correctly, there have been plenty of people on here who will tell you that's not the case elsewhere. Why won't the club be more transparent about how the tickets are allocated. Supposedly 60% of all away tickets were meant to go to fans via the points scheme but does it really. Why won't they come out and tell us. I am pretty certain that 60% wasn't the split for this game, won't be for the derby and certainly won't be for the last away game if we can win the title. Transparency and fairness is all we ask for as a fan.

So true. One of the better away days in the centre both before and after
Ideal is a 12-30 or 5-30 Sat game

Most members don’t want to go to away games. They prioritise home games. The main purpose of Branches is to expand the fan base.

I’m on similar points to you but I’ve cut back on the number of away games, partly because of the squabbling on here about away tickets. I enjoy games at Newcastle, Norwich, Everton etc more any way.

Yes the allocation should follow the stated policy of the Club and more transparency would be welcome. Some people will always say whatever ticket system is unfair and lots of Blues didn’t want more fairness in exchange for random ID / ticket checks on a small percentage of fans. I’m not talking about the sort of shambles we saw in Glasgow.

Anyway, I hope you get a ticket for Anfield.
