If it cost a billion quid it will still be a net contributor to our economy. We’ll never be allowed to know how much yesterday and the past week has cost us as taxpayers because it will be kept from us.

The Kardashian’s like this thinking. If it cost a billion quid it will still be a net contributor to our economy.
Don't know is there ? There may be people against the monarchy but I don't know of any 'Movement'There is no anti-monarchy movement in the UK?

If it isn’t known, you can’t possibly argue that to be a fact.If it cost a billion quid it will still be a net contributor to our economy.
And quite right too.
Ask Alan Harper’s Tash he may know !!Don't know is there ? There may be people against the monarchy but I don't know of any 'Movement'

Why would I know? Have you not read my posts over the past few days?Ask Alan Harper’s Tash he may know !!
It‘s a bit like having a real-time religion.Faith based argument, it doesn't matter. It's corgis all the way down.
People are calling her a great leader? Iv not seen that tbh.Folk are calling her a great leader. I’m asking what did she actually change for her subjects through her great leadership
Any parliamentary reform for the progressives will surely result in modernisation and slimming down of the monarchy. When tourists visit buck palace they don’t meet the queen. They will still visit the sites. This last week has felt like an eastenders omnibus on repeat.
Not very democratic is it.
Yer missed out the word 'nearly', wd. Oh, I've just thought - if you're 40 years old yer could be WD40! I think oakie can give us a decade or two, and my neighbour among the FOCs in CBL3 is my elder, and probably better! That’s everyone then.
I think the cheese bit is Liz Truss's area of expertise. If there were any inkling of a want to get rid of the monarchy I would agree that it needs talking about at the highest level, there is no evidence that this is the case.
We might as well have a discussion on stopping cheese from melting when it gets hot.
Or so long.I'd suggest the comment is more based around the fact that she probably didnt expect to be on the throne so early.

Do you mean futility rather than finality?I feel so sad today, worse than felt during the period of mourning. The last 11 days have seen the British public at their very best and the tributes and honour and love shown to her have been uplifting and joyous. Yesterday was a wonderful spectacle done with pomp and majesty carried out by and watched by people who wanted it to be befitting of our Queen, it was all carried out with love and respect and for the first time in long time I've felt proud to be English.
But when I switched the TV on this morning and everything was back to normal, the finality of it all hit me hard.
She's gone and it makes me so sad.
