Don't think it will be too much of a problem if they put the top rate (over £150k) to 50p.

Considering just who benefits from these tax cuts, I'm not so sure. Labour could probably do quite a lot which doesn't affect the majority of voters directly.

They could easily increase Corporation Tax, reintroduce the top rate for very high earners, adjust NI (maybe by lowering it overall, but taking out the lower rate for high earners), to raise quite considerable sums, without many noticing.

Wasn't it proved that it was mostly assurances that funding would be provided, only for the funding not to have been provided yet?

Utterly shameful isn’t it but I work with people who will just ‘be glad’ of the 1% tax cut. They can’t fucking see they are being fucked over!

Same people who will complain they can't get a GP appointment, no dentist will see them without £100 up front, their bins don't get emptied, their utility bills are doubled, petrol is £2/litre.

But they can enjoy having an extra few quid per month. Maybe enough for a night's heating.
