I just looked that up - I have driven past that several times in the last 10 years - I know the place but didn't know it was a commercial airport - that probably explains one reason for its problems lol

Another car crash on R4. Seriously worried about where this is going. In my working days if I had only come up with half a plan and told my boss he would have to wait another 8 weeks for the rest how long would you think I would have stayed in my job? Indeed I help run a charity and the people I work alongside would have replaced me ages ago.

The clown refused to answer the questions and, to be fair, he was pushed and pushed but he just kept changing the subject back to energy help.

I would leave this country tomorrow if I could.

Andrew Bevan from the treasury team on radio 4. "I was a finance director and people always wanted to know more before making decisions, but we are not fiscally irresponsible just because we said we'd give money away without knowing where it would come from." (I paraphrase.) And apparently two things that would help growth - removing environmental restrictions in enterprise zones, and allowing more skilled immigrants - are not politically difficult for the Tories.
