• Has personally cared for the deceased over a long period (meaning years, or many months)
• Has observed a gradual decline in the patient's general health and functioning
• Is not aware of any identifiable disease or injury that contributed to the death
• When the certifying doctor is certain that there is no other reason that the death should be reported to the Procurator Fiscal
• If the patient is 80 years or older and all the conditions listed above are met.

True story, friend of mine, Coldstream guards, doing guard duty at Buckingham Palace, there is a big garden at the back of the palace, Queen out walking with the corgis, one of the corgis jumped up at him, as he tried to stroke it the dog savaged his hand, made a real mess the Queen took him into the palace where they have a medical facility, he still has the scars on his hand.

I fail to see why people are so exercised about the cause of death. It's not going to be released with an illegal cause filled in, and just means that there were no underlying causes.

I'm more interested in what she's wearing inside that coffin. Most folk only have one set of 'sunday best', but I'd imagine the undertaker had a fair choice from the royal wardrobe. Also, is it worth keeping an eye on Oxfam in Kensington for the rest of her stuff?

Thinks there will be something underlying. Says most people in their 90s have heart disease.
