I think Chief Secretary (Philp, or yesterday's rounds) is the 2nd in line to the Chancellor.
He was on Breakfast too, and didn't much like Naga pressing him to answer the questions and to avoid whataboutery.
The Tory party have ~2 years, barring an early GE, to bring the traditional electorate, and the newly won 'working man' electorate back on board. They will do this by targeting 'benefit cheats' and removing namby pamby obstacles to growth like environmental limits/exclusions etc, blaming such and related issues for stagnating growth via their genius financial policies.
They may see out the rough (including another PM change) and in about a year be parity or in the lead in the polls. This is my gloomy prediction.

Looks like they are going to renege on the previous Chancellors promise to increase Pensions and Welfare by the Inflation rate and instead are going to link it to wage increase rate (which is virtually zero)

I was going to give their conference a swerve but it might be good for a laugh now. How many people do you think will be in the conference for hers and Karzi’s speech?
