FC Copenhagen | Post Match Thread

I was really happy with Gomez, he was unlucky not to score on 3 occasions and that volley from the corner at the very end was just class. Palmer also really impressed when he came on, his dribbling is excellent and for one so young his vision is pretty good as well. Alvarez needed that goal, his work rate is brilliant and just needs to settle. Great to see Ruben get some game time as he has looked slightly off this season and Eric getting the full 90 was also really important. Just wish Bernie and Gundo could have had a rest.
Lewis looks a good prospect but I feel he is playing it safe right now (to be expected) and Wilson has always impressed me. Finally Haaland is just the best "in the box" centre forward I have ever seen, his little movements and desire is truly scary

Great game for so many reasons!

Special praise for our left side attack of Bernie, Jack and Gomez. They looked unstoppable. Also Gundo was sensational.

One other comment about Cole Palmer. He was absolutely brilliant. He’s sending a powerful message to Pep about starting a game.
Pep already knew….see his remarks about Palmer before the season. “He has made enormous progress”

Easy on the eye; more exhibition than competition.

Great rotation and blooding of younglings

Expect them to show more resitance at home but should be a good chance to put qualification for next stage to bed.

Totally agree and they just kept trying even though they hardly got near our goal at all.
I am convinced they were so in awe of our superior play they wanted to keep observing whilst playing if that makes sense. They will now pick themselves up, remember how we played and try and emulate us in their own league and other European games.
Does that make sense. Learning on the job from a far superior team?
Makes total sense. As Ten Bob said “thanks for the lesson, City.”

9 pages well over an hour after a 5-0 chumps league win? We'll dream about these nights in 20 years time when we're shit again haha
I agree Wattle.
Every time we play a CL game I remind myself there was a time when this competition was something we would only ever dream about.
I’d rather think 5-0 is how good we are not how shite Copenhagen are.

Not usually one for these increasingly common pre match "light shows", but that was very impressive.

Funnily enough, one of the things that sticks in the memory about the home game against PSG last season was the pre-match light show which I quite enjoyed. As long as they don't do that sort of thing to often so it loses its wow factor.
