Love this man. As a player and a person. Kev might have more physique and technique but this guy has a footballing brain better than anyone else I've seen bar iniesta, makalele and this kid from Las Palmas called David.

Why so quiet on a new contract? Or is he definitely going on a free next summer? There will be a queue of clubs wanting him especially Liverpool Arsenal if he is off goes with my blessing just hope it’s to a Dortmund or Italian club!

We lose this guy and Silva next season out midfield will be missing two high quality individuals who work so hard with so much skill…

As daft as it sounds, this kind of resigns me to thinking he’ll leave on a free. Like with Bernardo, you can’t ignore lifestyle forever and you need your nearest and dearest to be happy too. We’re actually going to lose them both in the summer and it’s gutting.

Editor to ‘journalists’ ….Man City are a juggernaut. Dippers and scum are shit. Find a headline that will appeal to the red readers and give them something to feel better about. I heard you the first time, if you want your click based bonus this week forget the important news, just find any old shit that will make a reader with a mental age of 12 buy a paper or click- on and get it to print.

Always annoys me this. The restaurants are owned and ran by the nationalities on offer.

So if she is criticising the Italian restaurants then it’s not Shane from Moston who is cooking it, it’s an Italian!

Plus it’s not shit the food on offer in Manchester, there are many great places.

I'm unsurprised by his missus's reaction (if true of course) since in my experience most Italians are very nationalistic about their food.

Remember dating an Italian from Bologna during my uni days & both her & close friends were very fussy on food. Visiting her in Italia, almost exclusively we had an Italian meal every evening. When I suggested trying the Mexican or Indian restaurant it was met with hostility & would never be as satisfying.

What I love about Manchester is the variety of restaurants & cuisines available which I didn't necessarily find as easy or widely available when visiting certain parts of Italy. I'm sure Gundog's missus could get an authentic pasta or risotto dish in Manchester but most likely at a top price, which would be classed as a simple meal back home. In fact most Italian dishes are quite simple, just accentuated with the freshest of ingredients.

Too simple to be honest my Spag Bol and pasta taste better than anything I’ve had in a Italian restaurant.

My wife says Italian food is basically pasta and tomato sauce.

Been awesome this season.
He will be hearing the noise about Bellingham etc and he knows the club wont stand still if we lose Bernardo next year.

I am sure Pep would love to keep him around but he won't begrudge him if he wants another challenge also.
He's done plenty for us mate, bar Alfie's little lad he's the player I wanted us to sign the most in my life and he's been amazing, Silky Ilkay, Mister Whippy, if he moves on I'll be grateful for his service and still love him to absolute bits.

Being selected Captain by his peers is all you need to know. His performances the past few seasons, one of which he was our top scorer(!!), have been a revelation given his early injury worries.

He has played his part in our success BRILLIANTLY and yet another example of signing class PEOPLE, not just PLAYERS!

Pep talked about it at the end of his Pre-Match Presser today. Outsiders don’t understand that Pep and City can find quality PLAYERS everywhere, but it’s their personal profile, how they will fit into the dressing room, and whether they are the kind of PERSON that will cause any friction in the dressing room, that is THE KEY COMPONENT in pulling the transfer trigger.

When Pep talks about quality, he means PERSON, not just PLAYER! Gundo checks both boxes with a bold Sharpie!

Are you talking English Italian or Italian Italian? Spag bol eaten in it's home city of Bologna is the best I've ever had. I can still taste my last one i had now 5 years ago.

But you're right in saying that as there's plenty of unauthentic Italian restaurants in the UK and lot's in italy too. My worst meal over there was in a restaurant in Florence opposite the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge. They charged about 40% more for a table next to the river Arno. A tourist rip off of nasty tasting packet pasta and tinned sauce. I can cook better myself.
