The Boxing thread

Seems a no-contest with Charr - he was Vitalis last openent and couldn't get close to him. Vitali spent teh whole fight with no guard at all to tease him in, go a knock down and it seemed to end prematurely with a cut early on.

No doubt it will be hyped up on box office, but the Furies have hand picked this one for easy money.

Fury/Joshua off, well I never seen that coming
I’m not really one for fury’s pantomime antics but he’s bang on here; he’s the draw, fighting a guy who has lost 3/4, given him a 60/40 split (sensible business decision), yet AJ points towards his feckin legal eagles ‘taking care of business’, my arse… the contract was provided 10’days ago, yet even with not signing they haven’t sent back retractions or changes to move forward…

Hearn will milk a rebuild with winnable rights for AJ, 2 or 3, then crying foul when it appears he’s being ducked… m

Anyone who buys an AJ fight here on in is a mug, imo, the reality is taking the Fury fight ends his career (marketing wise) should he lose (which he would) and also the Dazn 5 fight deal becomes obsolete, you’d get seriously poor PPV numbers for a guy who realistically will have lost 4/5…

Matchroom stinks out the game at the moment!

On top of the Benn news today, I see that boxing is looking like it's going to be expelled from the 2028 Olympics. Apparently, the sport's governing body (I'm assuming at amateur level), the IBA hasn't carried out required reforms expected by the IOC.

Bros boxing at the minute.
