That's the thing. It isn't possible to sell him as legit, when Sunak and others staked their careers on resignations and public statements three months ago. One nationers would walk, causing a GE. That would end in many of his supporters being the ones to lose their seats.

He's just causing problems, being awkward to Sunak, and promoting himself. Realistically, no, it won't happen.
