Liked him for what reason? For bringing in that new idea of furlough? A system that other countries already had in place and something he had to back-date because of our slow response as a nation? Really, how do you know that?
There was a lot of money lost, so the obligation rests with the government to account for this.
They haven't which obviously leads to the justified suspicion that they didn't put in proper checks and controls even allowing for time deadlines.
The onus to account for the losses lies with them not the critics.
They haven't done this,hiding instead behind a catch all excuse.
Why not have an enquiry?
