Rishi Sunak

Sunak was pretty woeful today again. Starmer went in on the HS claims the asylum system being broken by just asking if the Tories have been in power for 12 years who broke it? Sunak hasn't got the bluff and bluster of Johnson and just basically set off falling into traps Starmer set up for later use. He tried linking it to Brexit - a bit odd as Albania, Afghanistan, Syria et al are not in the EU. Then he tried something on Corbyn - again a bit odd given Corbyn is not even a Labour member - then he tried Labour voted against the borders bill - Starmer came back and said that was because Labour told you they wouldn't vote for it coz it wouldn't work and it isn't. Within that he now has Sunak on record claiming ownership of a failed bill and he has 2 response - the we told you so one and kept in reserve he can point out that with the large Tory majority it didn't matter who voted what........ as the immigration system rumbles on failing badly Starmer has got Sunak to proclaim loud and clear it was their idea. Sunak is out of his depgth with Starmer.

Rigby on Sky News gave the Oligarch PM a shoeing saying all he had was "but Corbyn" and that was week. She claimed they ignored legal advice. The question he didn't bother answering in parliament.

If I remember rightly, these liars told us that we didn’t need a GE when truss became PM, as she had a mandate from 2019 for her calamitous plans of borrowing and tax-cuts, and then we don’t need a GE now because sunak has a mandate from2019 to do pretty much the opposite of what truss did?
How many mandates can you have?

A lot more than Lord Mandelson on a month long holiday in Mykanos?

After watching Sunak for a week it is alarmingly apparent that he is as hopeless as Truss - his performance today was shockingly embarrassing- he’s the PM ffs and he’s absolutely useless - very worrying
Sophie on Sky News said it was his best day yet.

As it is only his second PMQs there’s not a lot to compare it with but I’d say it was notably worse than last week because this week he didn’t have all the questioners using half their time talking about the notable achievement of him being the first PM of Indian heritage. This time Starmer just took him straight to the cleaners. Not a single question answered just idiotic deflections and rather pathetic Brexit and Corbyn distractions that can’t have impressed anyone except the moron that is Braverman.

Just the one mandate but they haven't found anybody capable of enacting it. Possibly because it can't be enacted in the real world. - A world the Tories seem totally oblivious to.
